I went to a wedding last week and wore a dress that fitted very tightly the last time I tried it on. In fact, on that occasion I needed assistance from body sculpting underwear to ensure that all my lumps and bumps were suitable disguised!
However, last weekend my dress felt much looser and a lot more comfortable and I was able to wear it confidently without any restrictive underwear. This is because I weighed just a few pounds lighter than the last time I put it on.
This has given me just the boost I need to get myself focused again on losing weight. I’ve known for a long time that I just need to experience again the benefits of dropping the pounds to kick start me into following the eating plan properly. I’ve almost forgotten that euphoric feeling of having a good weight loss, or of dropping a dress size. But I really would like to feel that way again!

Sometimes the task seems insurmountable. I feel that way occasionally when I get in the swimming pool with the goal of swimming a mile. “However am I going to complete 64 lengths?” I wonder. Then I realise I just need to take it a length at a time. Don’t think too far ahead.
