Twenty seven years ago, Kath Naylor stood in front of her first Slimming World group in the Scout Hut, Dinnington and started a career that would change the lives of hundreds of people who entered its doors.
After several unsuccessful and miserable attempts at dieting, Kath discovered the Slimming World eating plan, which allowed her to enjoy simple, straightforward food, lead a normal lifestyle, and still lose weight! Kath decided to share her knowledge with others.
Kath describes herself as “a stick of rock that has Slimming World running through the centre of it.” Describing the past 27 years she says, “There have been no lows, it’s all been highs. It has been more than a job to me. Slimming World is a way of life.”
Her Facebook page has been inundated with tributes from Slimming World members, past and present, expressing their thanks.
“You have been a help and inspiration, and in many cases a life saver to countless SW members over the years,” said one.
Another commented: “You have helped so many people through their Slimming World journey. Not only an amazing consultant but a genuine, lovely person and special friend.”
Some may wonder how they will fare without Kath by their side. She has the final word: “My good wishes for your future success… Believe in yourselves and the power of Slimming World. Hold my helping hand as I wave you goodbye.”
